Stanley and Black & Decker to Merge

The Wall Street Journal just reported that Stanley Works and Black & Decker are merging in an all-stock deal valued at $4.5 billion. Black & Decker shareholders will get 1.275 shares of Stanley for each Black & Decker share they own, and Stanley will own 50.5 percent of the newly create company.
